Conditions Treated
What can I help with?
This is not an exhaustive list — if you're not sure whether osteopathy can help with your condition, please get in touch. I'm always happy to have a conversation.
Your First Appointment
What to expect
A thorough conversation
We start by talking — your history, your symptoms, your lifestyle, and your goals. Understanding the full picture is essential to finding the right approach.
Hands-on assessment
I'll assess your posture, movement, and the areas of concern — looking at how everything connects, not just where it hurts.
Tailored treatment
Treatment is adapted to you on the day — using a combination of structural, soft tissue, and other osteopathic techniques as appropriate.
A plan going forward
You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's going on and what we'll do about it — including any exercises or lifestyle advice to support your recovery.
Common Questions
Frequently asked
Do I need a referral to see an osteopath?
No referral is needed. You can book directly online at any of my clinic locations.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on your condition, how long you've had it, and how your body responds. Many people feel significant improvement within 2–4 sessions. I'll give you a realistic picture at your first appointment.
Will treatment be painful?
Osteopathic treatment is generally gentle. Some techniques may cause mild temporary discomfort, especially in areas of tension or injury — but I always work within your comfort level and adjust as needed.
Can osteopathy help with long-term or chronic pain?
Yes. Chronic pain often involves multiple contributing factors — structural, neurological, and lifestyle. Osteopathy takes a whole-body approach that can be very effective for persistent conditions, often alongside other care.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is ideal. Depending on the area being treated, I may ask you to remove outer layers — you'll always be appropriately covered and your comfort is the priority.
